SW-KIT3 - Swatch Color Ring Kit 3

#SW-KIT 3 - Formula kit for the 180 swatch colors.

Select the color number from the swatch color rings.

Select the size of color to make: 2oz - 4oz - 8oz - 16oz - qt.

Use gram scale to weigh out the formula.

  • 8 oz pigments (101, 110, 140).
  • 4 oz pigments (111, 120, 130, 133, 136, 138, 145, 150, 155, 160, 175, 180, 190) 2 qts. clear base.
  • 2 qts. clear base satin.
  1. Turn on scale (be sure scale is set to grams), place container on scale and reset to zero.
  2. Select the color number from the back of the swatch.
  3. Select tinting pigment colors to be used in formula. Example: a formula calls for (101) white, (130) red, (140) dk. Brown, (160) yellow oxide.
  4. Determine finished volume size. ( 2oz, 4oz, 8oz, 16oz, qt)
  5. Follow the accumulative gram formula weights using tinting pigments. DO NOT RESET SCALE AFTER EACH COLOR.
    Example: qt. formula > with scale at 0.0, add 100.9 grams of (101) white, add (130) red till the scale weighs 102.7 grams, add (140) dk. brown till the scale weighs 139.4 grams, add (160) yellow oxide till the scale weighs 144.0 grams.
  6. Determine clear base to be used, (2020) satin gloss, (2000M) matte no-gloss, or (2000H) hi-gloss.
    Add clear base till scale weighs 752 grams. Mix well.
